Eubank said: "My appeal to Turkey and president Erdogan is: we understand your concern, but you should go back to the border. The security zone in along the border. My appeal to the US is, get back involved. You can't fix the problem, but if they are here we can create a space for negotiation. We can negotiate with the Turks, Russia, the Iranians.
But most importantly is the people of Syria who must have their saying and decide which way they want to live and where they want to live, and they want to return to their homes."
Dave Eubank also commended once again Zau Seng, one of his medics, who worked with him since 2006, and was killed on 3 November by mortar fire from Turkish-backed forces as Free Burma Rangers tried to rescue injured from outside Tel Temir.
Seng was also the team videographer. "He was actually editing the video of a rescue we successfully carried out on 2 November when he was hit. He leaves behind a wife and a daughter whose first brithday was the day of his death."
