Raqqa Civil Council Health Committee opened a special hospital for children in Raqqa with the participation of the health board, Raqqa Civil Council, committees and civil institutions.
Raqqa Weteni Hospital Co-Chair Eli Al Mushrif said that the city of Raqqa has experienced wars, destructions and disasters, affecting the health of the residents and causing pain and suffering.
Al-Mushrif added that the health field has improved in Raqqa since 2019, and that the Executive Assembly and the Raqqa Civil Assembly, in cooperation with international organizations, have established the Weteni Hospital, health centers, Infection Center and health institutions in the central and rural areas of Raqqa.
Al-Mushrif emphasized that a special hospital for children is necessary due to the increase in the population in Raqqa and its rural areas. This hospital will be the largest in Northern and Eastern Syria. “Today we celebrate the opening of this hospital, which has many departments such as emergency services, surgery department, radiology department, polyclinic departments. These wards will serve the health of our children. Because children are our future and our hope.”
Melek Şahin, the mother of Martyr Kaw and the President of the Repa Civil Council officially opened the hospital.
