The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) announced that two of its fighters were martyred on duty on December 20.

The statement released by HRE on Wednesday said: “As part of the Second Stage of the Resistance of the Age campaign, our struggle against the invading Turkish army and their mercenaries in the Afrin region continues uninterrupted. A fierce struggle is taking place to liberate the occupied territories, and a heavy price is paid. Thousands of our heroes have become martyrs for a free and peaceful Afrin.

Our comrades Canfeda and Zînal fought on the front lines for the freedom of their people and country. They became a shield for their people against the invaders and genocides. Comrades Canfeda and Zinal from the Afrin region knew that they could stop the invaders through a right struggle and a revolutionary attitude. Both of our comrades became revolutionary role models from the moment they joined our forces and until they became martyrs.

We offer our condolences to the esteemed families of Martyr Canfeda and Martyr Zînal, and to our patriotic people. In the persons of comrades Canfeda and Zînal, we respectfully commemorate all our comrades who fought and fell for freedom, and we reiterate our promise that we will crown the freedom struggle with victory.”
