Internal Security Forces find two mass graves

Two mass graves were found in the district of Ain Issa. The remains of 93rd brigade members of the Syrian government forces were buried there.

The Internal Security Forces were notified by citizens that there was a mass grave in the village of Ferhaniyê, 6 km southwest of the Ain Issa district center, and launched an investigation together with the Emergency Response Teams affiliated to Raqqa Civil Council.

Following the investigation and excavations, the remains of 14 Syrian government forces soldiers killed by ISIS mercenaries were found in the first grave.

It is estimated that there are 40 bodies in the second grave discovered in the area. The residents of the region said that they buried the soldiers killed during the ISIS occupation at night, secretly and without the mercenaries knowing it.

The remains were delivered to the Syrian government forces by the SDF General Affairs Office on the region of Ain Issa where the Turkish forces are deployed.
