‘Joining the SDF is a historical opportunity for us’
Raqqa's youth who joined the ranks of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that by joining the SDF they were given a historic opportunity to liberate their city from ISIS gangs.
Raqqa's youth have taken part in the Great Battle to liberate their city from ISIS gangs and are now fighting fiercely on the front lines in Raqqa. The young people from Raqqa, who joined the SDF shared their excitement of liberating finally their home town.
The young fighter Shadi Mihemed El-Henade from Raqqa's El-Sebahiye neighbourhood said: "We are now liberating our city so that the women and all our families can lead a life in safety. We are struggling for the reconstruction of a new Raqqa."
Fighter Fehed El-Hemud stated: "Joining the ranks of the SDF is for us a historical opportunity to free our people from the tyranny of ISIS."
El-Hemud said: "SDF liberated the cities Manbij, Sirrin and the entire region from the ISIS gangs. Those regions are rebuilding themselves now anew, we will rebuild also our city hand in hand."
