Syria returned to the Arab League at the ministerial level meeting of the Council of Arab States, chaired by Egypt. Hesen Koçer, deputy co-chair of the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration Executive Council, stated that they are not against the return of Syria to the Arab League because the Autonomous Administration's main aim is to solve the Syrian crisis. "The Autonomous Administration is always trying to solve the Syrian crisis and has also issued a declaration proposing a solution."
He said that the Arab League should mediate between the Damascus administration and the Syrian people, and added that "Syria's return to the Arab League could be the door to solving the crisis and the solution must be found inside, not outside Syria. This will also ensure the unity of Syria."
'Syria-Syria dialogue is the basis for the solution to the crisis'
Hesen Koçer said: "Syria-Syria dialogue is the basis for the solution to the Syrian crisis. A new ground must be built for the return of immigrants and refugees. We cannot say that there will be stability in Syria without political grounds."
Koçer stated that many meetings were held for the solution to the Syrian crisis, but they did not bring any results and added: "Syria, Turkey, Russia and Iran attended the last meeting. Their first goal was to abolish the Autonomous Administration and start a civil war."
'Dialogue is the only way forward'
Koçer pointed out that the Damascus administration felt that it could control the whole of Syria after the earthquake disaster, but forgot that the situation in Syria was different than it was 12 years ago.
Noting that the Autonomous Administration looks at the situation in Syria from a different, realistic perspective and believes that the Syrian crisis should be resolved politically and through internal dialogue, Koçer underlined that if a solution is not achieved through dialogue, Syria will be disintegrated.
Koçer said: "Our stance is clear. The Syrian crisis will be resolved in Syria. We want to discuss the solution to the crisis with the government of Damascus. We have the Autonomous Administration declaration. Our goal is to resolve the Syrian crisis in Syria."
