The women's umbrella organisation in North-East Syria, Kongra Star Assembly made a statement regarding the invasion attacks of the occupying Turkish state against the region.
The statement underlined that the attacks carried out by the Turkish state prove that it pursues a policy of genocide against the peoples of the region. It pointed out that the Turkish state is trying to make political gains through these attacks and expressing its internal problems.
Condemning the international silence on the attacks against the people of the region, women, children and service institutions, Kongra Star stated that the attacks of the Turkish state have led to a deepening humanitarian crisis and this situation has revitalised terrorism. It emphasised that the attacks are essentially directed against the democratic nation project and the will of the people and women.
Kongra Star stated that it will raise the struggle against the attacks and continue to protect the gains of the women's revolution and organisations. Kongra Star urged women to unite against the attacks and called on international powers and relevant organisations to hold the Turkish state to account for its war crimes against the region.
