Laleş Êzidî, a member of the Northern and Eastern Syria Veterans Federation, pointed out that the Kurdish people have paid a heavy price to protect their land, language and life and said: "There will be no revolution without a price, because freedom is not an easy target." He added that as war veterans, they will give the necessary response to the attacks.
Member of Northern and Eastern Syria Veterans Federation Laleş Yazidi spoke about Rojava war veterans.
Laleş Êzidî underlined that, after the families of the martyrs, the veterans are the ones who should protect the revolution the most, and added: "This society has had to live under the pressure of the enemy for thousands of years. The people of Rojava called the process that took place in 2011 the Spring of the Peoples, because the Kurds were the people who were attacked the most. The Rojava Revolution saw young people organizing to protect their lands from the beginning. The revolution has great costs. Today, society needs to approach with sensitivity the veterans who lost a part of their body. Veteran friends also strengthen their will with ideology and the education they receive. If an attack against Rojava takes place, it does not mean that the veterans have no role in this revolution. Yes, they are wounded, but this condition would not prevent them. That is why today, veterans are the ones who will realize the goals of the martyrs and protect the revolution the most. There will be no free revolution because freedom is not an easy goal. A heavy price has been paid to protect our land, language and life. In the Kurdish society, which has been oppressed for thousands of years, the ones who pay the greatest price are mothers and women."
Reminding that veterans are given symbolic financial support in the hegemonic states and the system, Laleş Êzidî concluded his speech with the following words: "Our veterans are getting stronger ideologically to protect the revolution. The Rojava Revolution had thousands of martyrs and veterans. That's why Rojava war veterans will respond to the attacks. We will continue our struggle until Rêber Apo and the prisoners of freedom are released."
