The Euphrates Region Health Board announced to the press on Monday that they had started the construction of a new hospital in Kobanê.

Ehmed Mehmûd, Co-Chair of the Health Board, revealed that the hospital would be put into service in a year and a half, and provide all health services with a 180-bed capacity.

The hospital will be built on an area of 11 thousand square meters on Aleppo Road, south of Kobanê, and will consist of 5 floors and a basement.

The Board added that the project would cost 3 million dollars (nearly 18 billion 600 million Syrian liras).
