North and East Syria detects 71 new coronavirus cases

71 new coronavirus cases were detected in North and East Syria in the last 24 hours. Two people died.

Ciwan Mustafa, co-chair of the North and East Syria Autonomous Administration Health Committee, announced that 71 new coronavirus cases were detected in the region in the last 24 hours. One patient from Kobanê and one from Hesekê died.

Ciwan Mustafa said in his statement that 38 of the 71 new cases were women.

The statement added that the distribution of new cases by cities was as follows: Hesekê 16, Qamishlo 17, Dêrik 11, Amûdê 10, Girkê Legê 9, Dirbêsiyê 5, Çilaxa 1, Rimêlan 1, Til Koçer 1.

Mustafa also noted that 11 more patients recovered bringing the total number of patients who recovered to 595.

According to the latest data, the total number of cases in Northern and Eastern Syria rose to 2,517 and the total number of deaths to 86.
