North East Syria Health Committee detects 80 new Covid cases

80 new cases of coronavirus were detected in North and East Syria in the last 24 hours, and 2 people died.

Ciwan Mustafa, co-chair of the North and East Syria Autonomous Administration Health Committee, announced that 80 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the region in the last 24 hours, and 2 people died.

In his statement, Mustafa stated that the two male patients who lost their lives were from Qamishlo and Amûdê.

The statement also underlined that 41 of the new cases detected were women and 39 men. The new cases were detected in the following cities: Hesekê 23, Qamişlo 26, Dêrik 17, Girkê Legê 7, Amûdê 2, Dirbêsiyê 2, Rimêlan 1, Çilaxa 1 and Til Temir 1.

Ciwan Mustafa said that 17 people had recovered from Covid-19 in the last day.

According to the latest data, the total number of cases in the region rose to 1,919, and the number of people who lost their lives to 71. On the other hand, the number of patients who recovered is 503.
