An action was organized by Kongra Star in Aleppo to protest the isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Şêxmeqsûd meeting hall, carrying pictures of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. During the march, people chanted ‘Now is the time for Leader Apo's [Abdullah Öcalan] freedom’.

Addressing the crowd that reached the neighbourhood square, Young Women's Union member Nadiye Yusif said: "We bow respectfully before the sacrifices of the martyrs. Our martyrs sacrificed their lives for Leader Apo's freedom. The invading Turkish state is aggravating the isolation it imposes on Leader Apo, with the support it receives from the conspiratorial forces. Despite these practices, the leadership does not back down. He continues to resist. We will continue our struggle until his freedom is ensured.”
