People of Efrîn demand freedom for Öcalan

Hundreds took to the streets in Rojava's Efrîn Canton and demanded freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
A protest demonstration was organised under the lead of Kongreya Star in Efrîn Canton of Rojava against the aggravated isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Hundreds of civilians as well as members of the institutions in the canton joined the demonstration.
Participants of the march condemned the isolation of the Kurdish leader, carrying his images and flags of TEV-DEM,Kongreya Star, YPG and YPJ.
Demonstrators marched to the Martyrs Square where Kongreya Star administrator Fatme Silêman held a speech, saying the following: “We as women in Rojava condemn the physical isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. We have come to these days thanks to his ideas and philosophy. We demand his freedom.”
Speaking after, Kongreya Star member Zeyneb Hac said their protests against the isolation of Öcalan will continue, stressing that: “If the Turkish state continues with its inhumane practices, it will never be able to hinder the will of the Kurdish people. International community should make the repression of the Turkish state stop.”
