Thousands of people marched in the Euphrates Canton in protest at the invading Turkish state’s and allied gangs' attacks on North-East Syria.
The people of the Euphrates Canton staged a march in protest at the increasingly ongoing attacks by the occupying Turkish state and allied gangs on Shehba, Manbij, Kobanê, Dêrik and various regions of North and East Syria.
Thousands of people marched from the Free Women's Square and to Şehîd Egîd Square in Kobanê, carrying olive branches, the symbol of Afrin, and posters of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The march was organised under the slogan ‘With the resistance of the people of Rojava and North-Eastern Syria, we will defeat the occupation’.
Following a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs at Şehîd Egîd Square, Arif Balî, Co-Chair of the Euphrates Canton Ecology Board, addressed the people and emphasised that they would continue the resistance until the end and frustrate the occupation plans.
Balî stated: “The resistance of the age was written by the blood of our children, and this struggle continues. As the Autonomous Administration, we salute the resistance of our people. The Turkish state and its gangs receive all their orders from Erdoğan. Erdoğan carries plunder and destruction in our region. For this reason, we have declared mobilisation and we will achieve success on this path.”
