People of Kobanê protest against the Turkish state

Masses protested against the Turkish state in the Kobanê Canton.

Thousands of people took to the streets in the northern Syrian canton of Kobanê on Monday in protest at the increasingly ongoing attacks and threats of the Turkish state against North-East Syria.

The protest march was organized by the Future Syria Party, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and Young Women’s Union under the motto “We will defeat the Turkish state through revolutionary people’s war”.

Demonstrators denounced the Turkish occupation attacks against Rojava and southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

A statement read out by the Future Syria Party member Nadiya Agasî said, “The occupying Turkish state bombs North-East Syria and changes its demography in an attempt to revive the Ottoman Empire.”

Condemning the Turkish genocidal attacks, Future Syria Party Council President Ferhan Hec Îsa stated, “Dozens of citizens have sacrificed their lives for the unity of Syrian lands. They rejected brutality and atrocity. This is why the Turkish state targets those who base on revolutionary people’s war.”

Hec Îsa vowed that they would not give up on the democratic region implemented in the region and would stand against those trying to incite chaos in the region.
