Tens of thousands took to the streets in Dêrik, Girkê Legê, Tirbespiyê and Til Birak cities in Qamishlo Canton on Monday, condemning Turkey’s invasion attacks and declaring that “SDF is our will”.

Masses gathered at the Azadî (Freedom) Square in Derîk and staged a march through the main streets of the city, chanting slogans commending the SDF’s ‘Resistance of Honor’. Demonstrators observed a minute’s silence in memory of martyrs when they reached the Square of Revolutionary Women where speeches were held condemning the attacks of the Turkish army and mercenaries and stressing that SDF was the only force that represented the will of peoples.

Thousands of people gathered at the Martyr Nejbir Junction and expressed that they stood with the SDF against the occupation forces. Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Deputy Co-chair Hikmet Hebîb, Kongreya Star member Xalya Eyûb and PYD member Silêman Bedir spoke to the crowd here and vowed that the resistance would continue until all Turkish-occupied areas are liberated. They pointed to the democratic nation project as the only way out of the Syrian crisis.
TIL BIRAK
People of Til Birak also poured into the streets and highlighted their support for the SDF which they said was their will. Speakers Revolutionary Youth Movement member Yûsif Xelîl and Til Birak Women’s Council member Hemrîn Hesen stressed that they would not allow the realization of the Turkish state’s dreams to revive the Ottoman era. They called for Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan to be brought to justice fort he crimes he has been committing.

People of Girkê Legê staged a march from Martyr Xebat Derîk Square to the district centre to protest against the attacks of the Turkish state and mercenaries that seek to invade North-East Syria and to declare that they stand with the SDF.
Speaking here, Internal Security Forces member Nûrşan Efrîn said that the Syrian lands would be a graveyard for Turkey and its mercenaries.
