Management took action to minimize the difficulties experienced by refugees staying at the Girê Spî Camp.
The management, which rented about 60 decares (60,000 square meters) of land, started the production of vegetables, in order to provide refugees both with work and a source of income.

A refugee named Meryem El Ehmed told ANHA: "We were given a job opportunity thanks to the project. Now we both provide our livelihood and meet our food needs."
Speaking about the project, Girê Spî Camp Administration co-chair Mihemed Şêx said: "Thanks to this project, refugees were offered a job opportunity while at the same time camp residents have access to cheap vegetables. We try to do our best for the refugees who are ignored by international aid agencies. We carefully evaluate all kinds of suggestions."
In the Girê Spî Refugee Camp, which was established on 22 November 2019, there are 2,700 refugees.
