PYD co-presidency council member Salih Muslim spoke to ANF about the simultaneous attacks of the Turkish state against Rojava, Shengal and Maxmur.
Pointing out that the simultaneous attacks took place after the defeat of ISIS in Hesêkê, Muslim said: “These attacks carried out by the Turkish state from Afrin to Dêrîk, from Shengal to Maxmur are attacks that were carried out because the hopes Turkey had put on ISIS were dashed. This is not the first time they have resorted to such attacks when ISIS is defeated. They attacked when ISIS was driven out of Kobanê. As ISIS loses, the Turkish state steps in and increases its attacks. These attacks have no other meaning."
Noting that the Kurdish people will not remain silent against these attacks, Muslim said: “Our people must show their stance against these attacks. Our peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria and the Kurdish people will give the necessary response to these attacks.”
