SDF commander Egîd: Many villages in Tishrin are now under our control

SDF commander Nîdal Egîd is from Homs. He is part of the resistance in Tishrin Dam. He said that many villages are now under the control of the SDF and free of mercenaries.

YPJ, SDF, YPG and Manbij Military Council fighters continue to resist the attacks by the Turkish state-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) in Tishrin.

Arab, Kurdish, Syriac, Armenian and Assyrian fighters are on the front lines in this resistance.

SDF commander Nîdal Egîd is from Homs. He told ANF about his participation in the SDF, and said: "I decided to join the SDF to protect and defend my country. The fighters in the SDF protect its honor, country and people. I chose to join the SDF as a son of this country in order to protect my lands against the occupying Turkish state and its gangs."

They have been resisting for 16 days

Nîdal Egîd said that historical resistance has been displayed in the Manbij area and Tishrin Dam for 16 days, and added: "The resistance carried out here is historical. We resist because we have morale and determination. We have experienced fighters in the Syrian Democratic Forces. We cleared El Qews and many other villages in two days. The number of gang deaths is high. Many armored vehicles have also been destroyed. Our resistance will continue to grow until we clear our occupied lands of all gangs."

'Let’s mobilize together'

Commander Egîd called on the people of Northern and Eastern Syria to stand together and said: "Every person who wants to defend their land and country should join the resistance. The Turkish state and its gangs are the enemies of the peoples. Their sole purpose is to destroy the peoples. All-out mobilization should be declared to fight off these attacks. As SDF fighters, we will not step back from the resistance. The people, especially young people, should stand by the SDF and give strength to the historic resistance."
