The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reported that, “As part of our ongoing efforts to track down the remnants of ISIS and degrade their terrorist acts, our SDF special units conducted, on May 2nd, a security operation with the support of our international coalition partners. The operation targeted a member of an ISIS terrorist cell in the town of Al-Busaira, the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”
According to the statement, the SDF arrested the terrorist after besieging the place where he was hiding and calling him for safe surrender. In addition, they confiscated technical equipment and documents proving his involvement in terrorist activities.
“Our forces, in conjunction with the international coalition forces, will continue conducting security operations against ISIS, thwarting their plans, and degrading their threat to establish and maintain stability and security in NE Syria,” SDF stated.
