According to information ANF obtained, fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a special operation against ISIS Tuesday night. Three SDF fighters who had been taken prisoner by the ISIS mercenaries before, have been freed as a result of the operation.
One of the freed fighters, Ehmed Husên, stated that they were left without food and water for days but that they never gave up hope that they would be freed one day.
Husên said; “In fact, we were about to give our last breath. Three people died of hunger near us.”
SDF military officials state that they have been acting with utmost caution to free their comrades from ISIS.
While clashes continue in Baghouz where the final battle against ISIS is being carried out, more ISIS mercenaries and families have surrendered to the SDF.
During the past three days, more than 6 thousand ISIS members and family members have surrendered to the SDF fighters.
