Over the past two days, the terrorist organization ISIS has carried out a series of organized terrorist attacks in Deir ez-Zor, reflecting the terrorist schemes of the terrorist organization. As a result of these terrorist attacks, five fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were martyred and several others injured while repelling two attacks—one targeting a military post in the town of Al-Jazarat in western Deir ez-Zor countryside, and the other targeting a military vehicle in the town of Dhiban in the east.
In a statement about the latest developments on the ground, the SDF Media Center said: “In response to these systematic terrorist plots, our forces, along with our military councils, have intensified security measures and increased patrols throughout the region. These measures come amid an escalation in terrorist activity across Syria, particularly in Deir Ezzor, where ISIS continues to attempt fixed level in operations targeting military, administrative, and social structures.”
The Syrian Democratic Forces reaffirmed their determination to confront and dismantle terrorist cells seeking to undermine security and stability, adding: “Our forces remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting civilians under all circumstances.”
