The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) published the identities of four of its fighters who fell martyrs in the resistance against the invasion attempts carried out by the Turkish state and its proxies in Sirrin and the southeastern countryside of Manbij between 3 and 8 December 2024.

The SDF underlined in its statement that "despite the use of modern warfare vehicles, warplanes, drones, tanks and heavy weapons by the Turkish state and its proxies, historical and determined resistance was shown in the region." The statement added that "the resistance continued, especially in the Tishrin Dam, the Manbij countryside, the Qereqozax Bridge as well as in other fronts, and that the occupation forces suffered heavy losses."

The statement continued: "It is in this battle of honor, fighters Avaşîn Efrîn, Xemgîn Horik, Azad Tirbespiyê and Reşo Amûdê fell martyrs."

The statement conveyed condolences to the families of the martyrs, and once again emphasized the SDF's determination to protect the peace and security of the region.
