As part of the ongoing security operations against ISIS remnants and cells, the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) “Military and Security Operations Center” conducted, yesterday July 22, an anti-ISIS operation in Raqqa. The operation targeted a senior ISIS official named Hazim Suleiman al-Jabn aka Abu Omar.
"Following a precise gathering of intelligence on the terrorist Hazim, our forces successfully surrounded the place where he was hiding and captured him. The terrorist Ali is originally from Khisham village in Deir Ezzor, but he was responsible for financing ISIS cells in Raqqa and its countryside to carry out terrorist acts", said the SDF Media Center in a statement about the operation.
"Our SDF forces reaffirm their commitment to pursuing ISIS remnants, dismantling their cells, and drying out their resources," the statement underlined.
