Successful operations by the SDF thwart attacks on Tishrin Dam and Qereqozak

Confronted by the SDF resistance, the Turkish army and allied mercenaries fail to make any territorial advances in North-East Syria.

The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released the balance sheet of fighting in North-East Syria for the past 24 hours.

The SDF statement on Monday includes the following:

“Despite the ongoing aggression by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in northern and eastern Syria—employing various types of weaponry in their attacks—they have failed to make any territorial advances, thanks to the steadfastness and resilience of our fighters.

On the Tishreen (Tishrin) Dam front, the Turkish occupation continued its bombardment on the dam’s vicinity throughout the night of Saturday into Sunday, using heavy artillery and mortar shells. This was accompanied by the presence of Turkish warplanes and UCAVs in the region’s airspace. As occupation mercenaries prepared to launch an attack on our forces’ positions in the northern countryside of the dam, our Martyr Haroun Units targeted their gathering, resulting in the elimination of one mercenary and the injury of several others.

On the Deir Hafer front, in the village of Imam, two mercenaries attempted to infiltrate one of our positions and opened fire on our forces. Our forces responded immediately, wounding one of the mercenaries.

On the Qara Qwzaq (Qereqozak) front, our forces successfully carried out three operations targeting occupation positions, fortifications, and mercenaries, resulting in casualties among the mercenaries' ranks, though the exact numbers remain unconfirmed.

Meanwhile, Turkish warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the villages of Al-Tina, Melha, and Ghasq, as well as the Sarin town junction, causing material damage to civilian property. Additionally, the occupation and its mercenaries indiscriminately shelled the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’da, Bir Hissou, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, and Al-San’a, along with the Sayfi Hill and Qara Qwzaq Hill, using heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars. More than 50 shells were fired, leading to significant material damage to residents’ homes and properties.

Turkish warplanes and UCAVs also maintained continuous aerial surveillance over Kobani, Ain Issa, and their surrounding countryside throughout the day.”
