SDF Spokesperson Telal Silo stated that Manbij has been liberated by the heroism of the city’s people, and added that they are not afraid of the Turkish state’s threats and are always ready to defend Manbij.
Thousands attended the first anniversary celebrations for the liberation of Manbij last night. SDF Spokesperson Telal Silo was among the attendants. Silo spoke in the celebrations and said the SDF’s aim is to fight ISIS and liberate the Syrian lands and people from terror now and it has been so in the past.
Silo stated that the SDF has liberated over 60% of Raqqa and added: “Today we celebrate the anniversary of Manbij’s liberation and we will celebrate the liberation of Raqqa together soon. We are proud to have the SDF General Command attend the anniversary celebrations of the liberation of Manbij. In the past and today, the primary goal of the SDF is to end terror and free the country. Whatever dangers may come, we are prepared to defend Manbij.”
Silo stated that the operation to liberate Manbij had been launched despite all of Turkey’s attempts of prevention to ensure ISIS presence in the city, and added that the Turkish state tried very hard to protect ISIS but the SDF fighters destroyed ISIS in Manbij. He added that they are not afraid of the Turkish state’s threats.
Silo also pointed out the attacks on Efrîn and Shehba and stated that Turkey’s attacks have been voided by the resistance of the peoples of Shehba and Efrîn, and that the outcome of the attacks on Ayn Daqna confirmed this as well.
