Thousands march in Aleppo on the 7th anniversary of the occupation of Afrin

A march was staged in Aleppo on the 7th anniversary of the invasion of Afrin and the displacement of hundreds of thousands by the invading Turkish state on January 20, 2018.

Thousands of people from Sheikh Maqsoud (Şêxmeqsûd) and Ashrafiyah (Eşrefiyê) neighborhoods of Aleppo took to the streets on the 7th anniversary of the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish state.

Carrying pictures of the martyrs of the Afrin resistance and olive branches as the symbol of the city, people staged a protest march chanting slogans that saluted the resistance in Afrin and Tishrin Dam.

Mistefa Hemo from the General Assembly Administration and Reyhan Elo, member of Kongra Star Coordination, made speeches.

Mistefa Hemo saluted the 58 days of Afrin resistance against the most advanced technologies of the occupying Turkish state, and emphasized their determination to return home after 7 years.

Reyhan Elo stated that they are ready to pay any price to protect their country.
