‘Trial of ISIS members should be held in Kobanê and involve the families of martyrs’

The people of Kobanê said that the trial of ISIS members should take place at the Free Women's Square and involve the families of the martyrs.

In North and East Syria, there are more than 10 thousand ISIS members from more than 60 countries, which, however, have so far refused to take back their citizens that massacred the people of North and East Syria. The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has been left alone to deal with them.

The Autonomous Administration announced on June 10 that it would begin to prosecute foreign ISIS members. According to AANES, the trials will be in accordance with international and domestic laws on terrorism.

Residents of Kobanê spoke to ANHA news agency and called for the participation of the families of martyrs in the trial of ISIS members.

'Time to bring them to account'

A citizen named Fatme Muslim Ismaîl stated that the families of martyrs should play a role in the trial of ISIS members. She said: “Now it's time to hold the invading Turkish state's mercenaries accountable for the massacres against our children.”

Another citizen, Fatme Mihemed Isa, said: “They killed our elderly and young people, seeking to break our will. But we are stronger than before. Those murderers are in the custody of our forces and the time to bring them to account has come. They should be tried at the Free Women's Square in Kobanê.”

Fatma vowed that they would take the revenge of martyrs on those involved in the massacres.

"Why do European countries not prosecute their own citizens?"

Necme Kinco said: “These foreign mercenaries penetrated our land with the help of the invading Turkish state, which occupied our territories and attacks us every day. Why do the European states not arrest and prosecute their citizens?”

Kinco continued: “We will avenge our martyrs through the involvement of the children of martyrs. The attacks of the invading Turkish state do not frighten us. Our resistance against attacks will continue. Everyone should take action against the invaders.”

Another citizen named Madina Ali said that for the invading Turkish state to know that their henchmen have failed, ISIS members should be tried according to the crimes and massacres committed against the people of the region, and the judges should be selected from the families of the martyrs.
