TURKISH STATE AIMS FOR AN ETHNIC CLEANSING

The joint statement read by Al-Sabxa tribe opinion leader Mihemed Tirî El-Sûan highlighted the inhumane acts of the Turkish state and allied ISIS/Al-Nusra gangs in North-East Syria, and their intention to perpetrate an ethnic cleansing to ultimately eliminate the democratic nation project and the will for co-existence.

The statement said; “We as the opinion leaders and representatives of the tribes in the region, express our support fort he Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the only force that protects the achievements of the region’s peoples and stands for the will of the population.”

Remarking that Erdoğan aimed to revive the Ottoman invasion, the tribal representatives strongly condemned and refuted the Turkish President’s allegations that they have entered the region on the demand of the people living in the region.

The statement ended with a call upon the international community to support the local people’s demands for freedom and peace, and to stand against the Turkish state’s occupation attacks.
