Turkey continues its attacks on the autonomous region of northern and eastern Syria without interruption. Artillery attacks on Sunday targeted villages near Kobanê, Til Temir, Zirgan (Abu Rasen), Girê Spî (Tal Abyad) and Afrin. In the village of Tinibê in Afrin’s Shera district, two civilians were injured by rocket hits and there was also property damage.
According to the ANHA news agency, seven displaced persons from Afrin and five fighters of the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) were killed and 46 civilians were injured in Turkish attacks in 2022 in the cantons of Afrin and Shehba. In addition, 28 soldiers of the Syrian army were killed in the attacks, and 35 soldiers were wounded. ANHA reports a total of 13 Turkish drone attacks in the region, while three drones were shot down. During the year, 27,498 artillery attacks were carried out by the Turkish army and its jihadist mercenary forces.
