Yusuf Hemed Hemade (19) from Esediyah village near Raqqa was killed by Turkish soldiers while trying to cross the border near Girê Spî. His body was found by his family in the neutral zone between Turkey-Syria.

There are several reports of Turkish soldiers killing civilians who try to cross the border.

A video released last month showed Turkish soldiers torturing and humiliating Arab refugees who were caught while crossing the border.
