A website has been opened to honour and remembered the martyrs of the Rojava and Northern Syria Revolution.

The site can be reached at www.sehidrojava.info.

The YPG Press Center explained in a written statement that the aim of the website is “to remember, honour and get people to know the martyrs of the Rojava and Northern Syria Revolution. For 7 years our region has been devastated by war, but finally our people have achieved a free life. In 2012 the opportunity to live in freedom and to self- governance began with the liberation of Kobane.”

The statement added: “We, YPG, YPJ and SDF media workers want to share with the world the stories and lives of our martyrs. This is our duty and responsibility. In our website, materials about the martyrs and their life, the experience of co-existence of our Self-Defense Units, Women’s Defense Units, and Syrian Democratic Forces.”
