Young women call for struggle against the isolation of Öcalan

People of northern Syria are protesting against the aggravated isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader.

The Young Women’s Union of Heseke denounced in a press statement the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan by the Turkish state.

The press release read by PYD (Democratic Union Party) Youth Council Spokesperson Ahin Ali pointed to the ongoing resistance of the youth against the isolation, saying; “We will resist to the very end to ensure that the isolation is ended and Leader Öcalan is freed. On 15 February 1999, conspirator states conducted a plot to break the will of peoples by making an agreement in line with their own interests.”

Remarking that the isolation is aggravated further every day by the fascist Turkish state, Ali continued; “The plot continues in its 21st year. In parallel, the resistance against this plot also continues. All of the young people committed to Öcalan, especially the young women emancipated thanks to him, will break the isolation through their struggle.”

The press statement was followed by slogans saluting the resistance of the Kurdish leader.
