The long march promoted by the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement from Qamishlo in support of the KCK's initiative "End Isolation, Fascism, Occupation: Time to Ensure Freedom" and to condemn the attacks of the Turkish state and the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan ended tonight in Dêrik.
Some 300 young people, who walked 100 kilometres for three days, were welcomed by thousands of people at the entrance of the city, accompanied by fireworks, slogans and zılgit.
A large crowd joined the young people during the march along the city's main streets. The march turned into a rally in front of the Martyr Bawer Youth Center.
Speaking here, Young Women's Union executive Canfeda Pîr said that the young people will continue to support the KCK's move. Stating that they will not accept the isolation and international conspiracy against leader Abdullah Öcalan, Canfeda emphasized that the protests of the youth will continue.
