Turkish-backed gangs Jabhat al-Nusra (Fateh al-Sham) and Ahrar al-Sham launched an attack on the Îska village in Shêrawa district of Efrîn Canton last night.
The attack launched by the gangs stationed in the town of Darit Izê with heavy weaponry faced immediate response from YPG/YPJ, resulting in clashes that continued into the early morning hours.
10 mortar shells hit the village and surroundings, inflicting material damage on civilian settlements.
While details are not available yet as to how many gangs members were killed during clashes, sporadic attacks by the gangs continue.
