A man named Kenan Şamlıoğlu (32) murdered his wife Nihal Şamlıoğlu (27), with a firearm in front of the Sarayönü Police Station in Urfa (Riha). The killer then wanted to commit suicide.

The couple was in the process of divorce.

Medical teams arrived at the scene and could only confirm that Nihal Şamlıoğlu had died, while Kenan Şamlıoğlu, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital.

The woman's body was taken to the Urfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
