Pregnant women in Afrin lose their babies because of bombardments

As many as 232 people, including 35 children and 29 women, have been massacred, while 668 civilians, including 90 children and 100 women have been wounded in Turkish bombardments since January 20.

There are increasing cases of pregnant women losing their babies due to the bombing by the Turkish state. One of them is Zeynep from Homs, whom we met earlier on February 23 in labor pains in a cave in Afrin.

When we revisit the place yesterday, we learn that Zeynep lost her child in the seventh month. Zeynep had fled from Homs to Afrin due to the Syrian war. On our previous visit Fatma Cemil had taken us to Zeynep, who had been in the labor pains. They had to flee from air raids into a cave. Fatma Cemil said then: "Come here, record that, let the world hear our voice, the whole world should understand what kind of situation Erdoğan has brought us."

Today she tells us that Zeynep lost her baby. She says, "Hey Erdoğan, you have no book, no religion, you have murdered an unborn child. Don’t you have any children yourself? What kind of a tyrant are you? May Allah damn you."

According to the Health Council of Afrin, many pregnant women are losing their babies due to air and ground-based bombing.

Since the launch of the invasion operation by the Turkish state and affiliated Al-Qaeda gangs on January 20, as many as 232 people, including 35 children and 29 women, have been massacred, while 668 civilians, including 90 children and 100 women have been wounded.
