YJA Star guerrillas celebrate 8 March in a tunnel of resistance in guerrilla areas

Kurdish female fighters welcomed International Women’s Day in their positions in guerrilla areas.

Guerrillas of the YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) celebrated 8 March, International Women's Day, with enthusiasm and determination in a tunnel of resistance in the guerrilla areas.

The event, which witnessed colorful and meaningful moments, started with a special program prepared by the guerrillas. 

Footage of the celebration shows the excited and joyful preparations of the female guerrillas.

The guerrillas, carefully covering each other's faces with scarves, smile, make victory signs and march through the tunnel to the celebration area.

With Kurdish songs playing in the background, they chant the slogans “Bijî Serok Apo” [Long Live Leader Öcalan] and “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” [Woman, Life, Freedom].

In the speech made in the celebration area, the day of women all over the world was saluted and loyalty to Abdullah Öcalan and the resisting women was emphasized.

The women guerrillas then sang Kurdish songs and danced, bringing the rhythm of resistance to life in the enthusiasm of the songs.
