A march demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan will be organised in Stuttgart, in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg.
Under the leadership of the young women's movement TekoJIN, a march will be held on 11 May with the slogan "Jin Jiyan Azadî - Serbixwe Azadî".
In a written statement, the March Preparatory Committee stated the following: “Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) approaches the Kurdish question, known as the Middle East question, as a women's issue. On this basis, it is known that Leader Apo sprouted a dry wood, that is, he resurrected a dead people. At the same time, in the Middle Eastern society, which has the most feudal culture and the most reactionary approach, Leader Apo created tremendous resistance and an unprecedented sacrificial society by putting women's freedom at the center. We, as young women who came to Europe as a result of enemy policies, see the freedom of Leader Apo as our own freedom and we state that we will struggle on this basis. For this reason, we call on all our patriotic people and struggling young women living in southern Germany to create a stronger organisation through struggle. Let us achieve success and freedom by organising within the framework of Leader Apo’s philosophy."
The march will take place at Marienplatz in Stuttgart on 11 May at 15.00.
