A night to know Kurdish culture and literature was organised in the city of Solothurn by the Culture and Youth Commission at the Democratic Kurdish Community Center.

The meeting was an opportunity for your people to know more about Kurdish language and literature, as well as music and culture.

The event was organised as part of the activities for the Kurdish Language Day and began with a minute's silence for the martyrs of May.

Speakers introduced the importance of speaking in the mother tongue to the audience.

A video about the life of some of the most well-known denbej from Kurdistan was screened and traditional dresses from Hakkari were shown.

A concert and reading of Kurdish poems ended the night.
