Journalist Rojin Altay, a journalist working for Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, was detained at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, on Saturday night. She was supposed to travel to Amed.  Instead, she was taken into custody as part of an investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Altay was brought to the Istanbul Police Department on Vatan Street, and was prevented from meeting with his lawyers for a day.

While the reason for detention was not learned due to the confidential decision imposed on the file, the journalist was able to meet her lawyers on Sunday. Her custody period has been extended for one more day.
