French President Emmanuel Macron underlined the importance of security in Syria’s reconstruction efforts during his closing speech at an international conference on the country’s political transition.

Macron stated that France owes a debt of gratitude to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), led by the Kurds, and emphasized that they must not be abandoned. He also advocated for the integration of the SDF into the Syrian Army.

Macron declared that France is prepared to take further action against terrorist groups in Syria. He also emphasized that the transition process in Syria must consider the solidarity and determination demonstrated in the fight against ISIS.

Macron emphasized the necessity of continuing the fight against ISIS. He also warned against the resurgence of Iran-backed groups in Syria, stating that "these groups must never return to Syria."

Macron announced that France will provide 50 million euros to support stability in Syria. He further affirmed that his country will remain committed to contributing to regional stability efforts.
