The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement providing information on the latest actions carried out by guerrillas against the occupant Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.

ŞIRNAK

As part of the ‘Martyr Medya Mawa and Rizgar Gever Vengeance Campaign’ guerrillas hit the Turkish soldiers stationed on a hill in Cudi region of Şırnak province at 11:00 on April 22.  While the position and shelters of the Turkish forces were struck effectively, one soldier was killed and the guerrilla unit returned to their base without harm.

HAKKARİ

As part of the ‘Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Campaign’, guerrillas targeted the Turkish military units stationed on Hill Martyr Derman in Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari at 09:00 on April 23. Guerrillas raided the positions of Turkish soldiers and struck them from two sides. Infiltrating the positions of Turkish troops, guerrillas killed three soldiers and seized three weapons. The involved guerrilla unit returned to their base safely.

AIRSTRIKES ON GUERRILLA ZONES

HPG-BIM reported that Turkish jets shelled the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq on April 23.

The aerial bombardments targeted the Werxele area in Avashin region, the Chemcho area in Zap region and the surroundings of Martyrs' Cemetery in Metina region.
