In a statement about the ongoing war in Kurdistan, the Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) reported that the Turkish army carried out eleven chemical weapons operations against guerrilla positions in Çemço in the Zap region on 15 January.
HPG further reported that two unconventional bombs hit the surrounding area of the nearby village of Sîda on the same day. In addition to these attacks, both areas came under artillery fire dozens of times.
Meanwhile, the guerrillas continue to resist the Turkish invasion. Mobile guerrilla units with heavy weapons struck the positions of the occupying forces in Sîda. In Çemço, a two-front action was carried out against Turkish military positions.
