Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK) General Presidential Council Member Diyar Xerib and two guerrillas fell as martyrs in a Turkish airstrike in Qandil on July 5.
KCK Executive Council Co-presidency sent a condolence message to Xerib’s family. KCK Executive Council member Xebat Hewlêrî read the message in Sulaymaniyah where the family is receiving condolence visits.
The message of the KCK reads as follows;
“The martyrdom of comrade Helmet is a heavy and great pain for us, our movement, our patriotic people and South Kurdistan as much as it is a huge sorrow for you. Our pain could be relieved a bit only when we realize the dreams of comrade Helmet who was targeted with the purpose of inflicting a blow against Kurdish Freedom Movement and South Kurdistan. You and South Kurdistan people embracing Martyr Helmet will be a reference for us to make his dreams real.
During his struggle of 25 years in the ranks of freedom movement PKK, comrade Helmet has always been an exemplary revolutionary and a leading personality. The pure education he received from the family and Leader Apo (Öcalan) made him into a ethical, political and social personality.
Comrade Helmet, a member of the KCK General Presidential Council and PKK Central Committee, had been in the forefront in his previous works in South Kurdistan. He served as the president of the Kurdistan Democratic Solution Party (PÇDK). He was a friend with a great social insight as he fulfilled his missions in all seriousness. He was always training his people and his comrades to this end. He made great efforts for the establishment of Kurdish national unity. He was insistent on the libertarian ideas of Leader Apo. The attack against his person is also an attack against the idea and philosophy of Leader Apo.
It is of great value that you embrace the martyr. We promise you and our people; we will work to fulfill the goals and realize the dreams of comrade Helmet and all our martyrs by inflicting heavy blows against the enemy and punishing the collaborators. The goals, which comrade Helmet has given his life for, will definitely be achieved.”
