The Turkish regime’s increasingly ongoing political genocide operations targeted the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Amed (Diyarbakır) on December 6.
HDP Sur district co-chair Zülfikar Odabaşı, HDP Amed administrator Mehmet Sait Demir and HDP Amed former administrator Mehmet Nesim Gültekin were among the eight people who were taken into custody following house raids.
Of the eight detainees who were referred to court earlier today, HDP Amed branch administrator Mehmet Sait Demir and HDP Amed branch former administrator Mehmet Nesim Gültekin were remanded in custody, while the other six were released on condition of judicial control.
Demir and Gültekin are accused of "membership to a terrorist organisation".
