The Êzidxan Youth Union held its 3rd Conference under the slogan 'Let's Crown the Freedom War with Victory for the Freedom of Leader Öcalan and Guarantee the Autonomy of Shengal’. The conference in the Digûr district of Shengal (Sinjar) saw the participation of hundreds of Yazidi, Arab and Turkmen youth from Shengal and Mosul.

Many important decisions were taken at the conference on Friday, including participation in the campaigns launched to ensure the physical freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Abdullah Öcalan.

After the conference ended, hundreds of participants made a statement demanding the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan. The statement was read by Zêdan Şengali, a member of the Êzidxan Youth Union.

The press statement by the participants of the conference said the following:

"The conference of Êzidxan (Yazidi land) youth took place in the light of Leader Apo's (Abdullah Öcalan’s) ideas and philosophy. We will implement the decisions of the conference.

As Êzidxan youth, we will never accept the captivity of Leader Apo. We will hold the enemies of humanity to account. Leader Apo's thoughts have given a new spirit to the Yazidi society. We have recognised friend and foe through Leader Apo's ideas. For this reason, we accept Leader Apo as our leader. We will not stop until we ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo and build the autonomy of Shengal.

The genocidal Turkish state, an enemy of our roots, can no longer stop our march for freedom. With strong decisions and Apoist youth determination, we will achieve a decisive victory. This is our promise to Leader Apo, our sacred lands and our martyrs."
