Öcalan’s poster hung on Notre-Dame Cathedral

Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan’s poster and PKK flags were hung on Notre-Dame Cathedral and the historic 23 October action was saluted.

Within the scope of the global campaign ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ which has left a year behind, members of the Kurdish Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ) organised a demonstration in Paris.

The activists hung a huge banner of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and flags of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) on the roof of Notre-Dame Cathedral, the most important touristic and historical site in Paris.

The activists also saluted the action carried out by two members of the Battalion of the Immortals against the TUSAŞ (Turkish Aerospace Industries Corporation) facility in Ankara on 23 October.

The activists said that ‘our protests will continue until Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) is freed and the Kurdish question is resolved’ and called for all Kurdish young people and internationalists to increase the struggle.
