Celeste Lepratti, a human rights activist and a member of the Committee of Solidarity with the Argentine Kurdistan Women's Movement, died at the age of 45 as a result of a serious illness.
Celeste Lepratti was the sister of Claudio "Pocho" Lepratti, who was among the 38 activists killed as a result of police raids in the popular uprising for social rights and freedoms in Argentina in December 2001.
Celeste Lepratti, who has been raising the flag of struggle against institutional violence since the "Black December", in which 38 people lost their lives on 19-20 December 2001, has never stopped fighting for human rights and justice.
She took part in efforts to find the stolen babies with the Plaza de Mayo Mothers. Celeste Lepratti, who has been following the Kurdistan Women's Movement closely since 2016, has been on the Solidarity Committee with the Kurdistan Women's Movement since February 2022.
