Belgium suspects Turkey firm of fraud: 5 million masks missing!
Belgium Minister of Health Maggie De Block said the Turkish company which was to deliver masks to Belgium by Sunday evening is under investigation for fraud.
A Turkish company is suspected of fraud by the Belgium Minister of Health.
A file over a 5 million order placed for masks and other equipment which never arrived has been sent to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
The chances of the masks being delivered are "minimal" said the Ministry of Health.
Belgium had placed this order, including various protective equipment for an amount of five million euros, as part of a European group purchase, several weeks ago.
The products were intended for general practitioners and hospitals.
